BREAST MRI

MRI of the breast offers valuable information about many breast conditions that cannot be obtained by other imaging abnormalities, such as mammography or ultrasound. Breast MRI is best used in addition to a mammogram or other breast imaging tests- not a replacement for a mammogram.
Although it’s a very sensitive test, breast MRI can still miss some breast cancers that a mammogram will detect.
